Andrew Bauman

Co-Founder & Director of the CCC, Andrew J. Bauman is a licensed mental health counselor with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. He spent 10 years studying under Dr. Dan Allender. Andrew is the author of The Sexually Healthy Man, Floating Away, Stumbling Toward Wholeness, The Psychology of Porn, and A Brave Lament Book & Award Winning Documentary Film.

Please Note: Church processes should never be considered a substitute for mandatory reports of abuse to governmental authorities or for facilitating access to mental health care professionals or safety resources. If someone is currently experiencing abuse or is in immediate danger, the priority should be their immediate safety and well-being rather than engaging internal church processes, which may not be able to respond immediately and are not designed to address safety issues or provide mental health assistance.

  • Required or mandatory reports should be made to the appropriate governmental authority, such as law enforcement, the department of social services, or child protective services, whether the victim agrees or not, as required by law.

  • Discretionary reports involving adults may be made with the victim’s consent.

  • Other assistance, including referrals to mental health professionals, community domestic violence organizations, shelters, and other safety resources, should be provided based on the circumstances.
